La Mer Veille - Bécassine is no ordinary holiday home in Oostduinkerke. The name carries the closeness of the sea within it, and the serene calm that lingers here. Bécassine is a playful nod to both the well-known comic-strip character and the coastal bird of the same name, and at the same time a quiet tribute to the former Hotel Argos Bécassine, whose spirit still lingers in this house.
Eight bedrooms and five bathrooms, spread across the ground floor and two upper floors, offer space for 10-12 adults and 4-6 children.
Large families and close-knit groups will find room to come together here, with a fully wheelchair-accessible ground floor. Dogs are welcome too, because a stay by the sea is simply more complete with the whole family along. The fully equipped kitchen invites long tables and shared meals, while the garden invites you to start the day or let it wind down, just a few metres from the beach.
Each season colours La Mer Veille - Bécassine differently: the stillness of winter, the blossoming of spring, the full bloom of summer by the sea. The rates follow that rhythm.

A room with a 160x200 cm double bed and a 90x200 cm single bed, ideal for a family with an extra child.
The bathroom, with shower and bath, is shared with Family Room I.
Couple Room
A double room with a 180x200 cm double bed and its own private bathroom with shower.
Ground floor suite
Located on the ground floor, with a 180x200 cm double bed and a fully adapted private bathroom with
toilet. This room is accessible for wheelchair users.
Attick Room
Tucked under the roof, this quiet room has an 80x200 cm single bed, its bathroom shared with the
Children's Dormitory.
Children's Dormitory
A playful room with three to five single beds, perfect for the youngest guests to share. The bathroom is shared with the Attic Room.
